Just wondering if anyone has the scoop on the 1987 SG Special neck profile? I've seen a lot conflicting info. I believe the coror for that year is rare and it has gold hardware (I'm thinking of buying the instrument). Also, what do you know about the 59 Les Paul reissue pickups?
    thanks. . .

    Welcome Professor! :)
I can tell you that a '92-ish Special's neck profile was bigger than today's-best I can do.
I've heard that the '59 RI pups were the fabled Tim Shaw pups.

not sure of the 87's but I have a 2001 and the neck is average not thin like some or the thick like some of my historic reissues,

this one may be for sale soon were not sure yet, it has an ebony fret board
