A great vintage piece - but it has that crappy tailpiece thing that never worked right.

Great for a collector, but I'd be afraid to take it out of the case!

Good point. These mint condition classics seem to have had sad lives of being "collected."

What's the point of owning a guitar you won't take out and gig with?
I play my guitars. They have all seen the inside of biker bars.

It's called "collecting" and has little point for players that use their guitars.

Good thing there is a ingenious, reversible mod for those TPs..

    Scroll down a bit, you'll see it.:thumb:
Also, the maker of these is our very own Danelectro.:applause:

Not a bad device at all - and well needed!

So now if you want to take your relic GTLP out to a gig, it will sound good.

I just want it for the salvage. I'd like to part-out all the electronics and hardware, strip the wood and turn it into a faux '59 burst with a tunamatic and maybe a Bigsby and Schaller locking tuners. Now that's playable, player!

Now I've got to figure out how to put some BurstBucker Pros in a Maccaferri G-40

    Without breaking the plastic body!:laugh2:
