Does the 61 Les Paul SG Reissue have a 1.75" thick body?

Most SG body thicknesses range from 1 5/16" or 33.3375 mm to 1 3/8" or 34.925 mm. My SG is 1 3/8 " thick but my '98 American Std. Strat is 1.75 " thick. Hope that helps.;)

SGs have a body thickness of 35mm, or 1.34 inches.

Here's an info page for the Gibson 1961 Les Paul Tribute (if that's what you were asking about.

    Gibson.com: 1961 Les Paul Tribute

And here's one for the Gibson SG '61 Reissue: (no trem, among other minor differences):

Gibson.com: Gibson USA SG '61 Reissue

All SGs have a slab body of roughly the same thickness, one of the reasons they're so much lighter and handier than the SG prototype, the Les Paul Model. They don't have the carved maple top either. Just devilish cutaways and killer tone... wicked good. You should go to a guitar store and play both. Then you'd get a handle on the differences. Some people like Lesters more... some of us play both. You get to make up your own mind, of course. And the best way is to play them, and not listen to anybody's opinion till you do.

by the way, I'm a Doors fan too.
