Adding A Bottle Opener To My SG

I’ve been thinking about screwing a cast iron beer bottle opener to my Epiphone SG. I don’t know much about guitars, I just like to play them. So I’m basically just wondering if adding this chunk of iron to my guitar will interfere with anything, such as pickup response. I’ve attached a picture of the bottle opener, and a picture of where I’d like to put it on the guitar. Thanks.

 

As good a way as any to f*ck a nice guitar, I suppose. If you are that desperate for beer, buy a keg and some tubing.

Unless it's attached to the back of the headstock...

 

Especially while the bottle is still hanging from the opener.

 

Increased mass added to headstock could improve your tone too.

I agree. I was going to write, offering the same advice. Or, get a bottle opener and add it to your keychain. Attaching it to a guitar just because you think it would look cool is childish, IMHO.
