I’ve been thinking about screwing a cast iron beer bottle opener to my Epiphone SG. I don’t know much about guitars, I just like to play them. So I’m basically just wondering if adding this chunk of iron to my guitar will interfere with anything, such as pickup response. I’ve attached a picture of the bottle opener, and a picture of where I’d like to put it on the guitar. Thanks.
As good a way as any to f*ck a nice guitar, I suppose. If you are that desperate for beer, buy a keg and some tubing.
You're Swedish! For you beer is an expensive delicacy, enjoyed only by the wealthy (and teenagers in Ibiza).
Perhaps, perhaps, but if it's not free at the gig then there'll be no gig. Mine would be for those. (because I have can openers at home)
The problem would be that plenty of drunk idiots will try to use it and ding the **** out of the body lol.
It’s better than the multitude of fucktards wanting to “upgrayedd” their bridges... I won’t do any harm to your “tone”, go for it.
Lies. Of course it will affect tone. All of that extra metal will counter-counter balance the effect of the nibs that are there to counter balance the effects of string vibration in relation to the pup magnetic poles. Amateur.
I agree. I was going to write, offering the same advice. Or, get a bottle opener and add it to your keychain. Attaching it to a guitar just because you think it would look cool is childish, IMHO.
