Last week I saw a backpack version from a different producer. Still expensive but here they are! It's nice to see these things becoming real at last.
Franky Zapata the French inventor and entrepreneur today soared above the Champs-Elysées on a turbine engine-powered flyboard (Flyboard Air ®) in front of President Emmanuel Macron and other EU leaders for the Bastille Day Parade. US Army wanted to buy this Flyboard and Franky Zapata choosed the French Army. This guy was 2 times Jet Ski World champion, 7 times Europe champion, he made cool and fun inventions with his team, look at the Hoverboard ZR
I used to ride motorcycles at ludicrous speed, surfed Northern Cal's rockiest beaches and rafted class five rapids on the Toulumne, but this looks dangerous....
I love ludicrous speed myself. Pretty sure once the SS is paid off I got the wife on board to go all out Hell Cat with our next car! Now that is sure to be totally ludicrous. As for this ludicrous jet engine thing strapped to your feet though... you better be pretty damn good at & well practiced on the water version before strapping this truly ludicrous 'idea come true' to your feet! I don't see an awful lot of second chances after something going wrong at speed, altitude or over rough dangerous terrain. obvious enough Here's a clip that popped up of other working hover boards & bikes.
