This post was so good I asked pancake81 to change a few words so I could put it on the front page of the website. Well it's there and I want to thank pancake81 for becoming a contributing writer for ETSG.

If anyone else thinks they have a great story to tell and has a flair for writting just let me know.

Thanks for doing that Tom, it is a great honor to be front page :)

Right on dude! Ability to rock has little to do with what guitar you have, and certainly not when you compare the difference between an SG Standard and an SG Custom. I was just lucky enough to be able to buy this guitar, and I have a severe obsession... One my wife would call, REVOLTING. ;D

You should work on that spelling though. You might be surprised what your parents would "chip-in-for" if you brought home some A's ;)

Just wanted to be another to say congratulations on your purchase.
It's a risk to spend that amount of money on something you hadn't even played, but I'm glad it lived up to your dreams.
I only got my SG when I ran out of money to buy a Les Paul custom, (at the time, my dream guitar) but looking back, it was the best decision I ever made (guitar wise.)
Lovely pics, by the way. She really is a beaut.

    Thanks Spid,

She has been everything I hoped for. The Buzz of this guitar still hasnt worn off! And despite what i thought when I hit the pay now button on sweetwater, she has become my #1 player. WEre still growing, but she is a lifer for sure :)

Glad you like it. It looks awesome. I bet it'll just look better with age.

Sexy guitar. I just got an SG like the one Angus used at Donnington '91. Gonna post a HNGD thread now...

Here's to AC/DC and the SG!

I read your post minutes after you posted. Love the guitar man. Can we get some sound clips?
