How do your Orvilles compare to your Gibson USAs? I've been read a lot of positive stuff from the Orvilles by Gibson and have been tempted to buy one on EBay before the prices get out of hand.
yea, i put EMGs for something that can handle metal.
i've got enough for classic rock stuff
and the orville is pretty nice.
neck feels almost similar to the '61 RI.
has a 2-piece body tho unlike the gibson, still good enough anyway.
pretty light too, comes in at 2.9kg.
it came with dual gibson HB-R pickups, tho i expected a HB-L in the bridge.
also i been checking up on ebay, the 'orville by gibson' prices for LPs seem to be dropping?
i see them go for around $900+ now, a few months back they easily hit $1200+.
SG prices tho seem to be increasing.
a couple of SGs recently went for $800+, when previously were around $700.
all these of cos not including the shipping from japan where most of the sellers are.
That looks sweet. roolin: I bought a Gibson SG special faded a couple months ago I finally got pics of it. I will upload later. I really like that 74 gibson sg. roolin: roolin:

That is a sweeeeet geetar. Now it seems that that are close to a Gibson on Ebay on price. I got a 04' SG Stand. in cherry in Excellent shape for $825. Seems the Orvilles have caught up with the Gibsons.
what mildew? that white stuff?
its just reflection of the light off the fur.
as for the LP standard, im actually looking to sell it off to fund something else.
i need my epi LP tho for the metal stuff.
comparing both, well the epi neck is definitely slimmer, almost like the orville in thickness just more rounded.
of cos the way gibson dresses the frets, ie. flatter, just makes the guitar feel that much better.
