Will this be a good gigging amp?
Not the III, but I had with a Mustang IV V.2 (the 150-watt 2x12). You could knock birds out of the sky with it. You won’t have any trouble whatsoever playing to a large crowd unmiked.
It’s definitely best for Fender stuff, the “Metal” amps are all terrible - except for the Orange (“British Colour”) model. It was an excellent high-gain model, better than some actual Oranges, IMO.
I really enjoy the Metal 2000 setting.
Had mine since 2014. I never played live but used it at band practice for a year until i decided to use the practice studio's stuff, which i don't like (Line 6, Laney) but it aleviated the heavy lugging of the Fender. I got the extra 4 button footswitch and paired it with their volume/expression pedal and i was set! I made my own presets as many of the presets were oversaturated echo chambers. I made 5 of them and learned how to configure my switches. I did play one gig, now that i think of it, and used the xrl outs to the PA. It worked fine. The thing is very loud so you shouldn't have a problem as long as you're not in a Motorhead tribute band.
Also.. it has a lot of fantastic effects that i can't get with my current effect pedals.
Thank you for letting me know all of this.
