Bedroom. What I do is too embarrassing to be unleashed on the unsuspecting public. I wouldn't want to be held responsible for the psychiatric help they would need afterwards. ;D

But I sure have a good time.

Absolutely bedroom picker. While I have played out in the past in bands, it was never a "for profit" venture. It was mostly originals and playing the local original music circuit. No wedding bands or cover bands for me.

I am not afraid to play, or play and sing, for family and friends though. And I recently played "People Get Ready" in church at my niece's wedding, with another niece (who has a beautiful voice) doing the vocal.

I have a band but we've never made more than $150 on a gig, and that was only once.

Pro. Between performing and teaching, I can actually make a living and not have to have a "real" job!

I consider myself a Pro Bedroom Picker lol.

My cousin said I'm better than most guys at his college. Then again, I just realized how stupid that sounds. :-X

I once rented a house that came with a guitar in the bathroom! I knew it was perfect immediately.

    Closed door bedroom picker.....

I usually start with the door open, but either my wife or one of my kids end up closing it so they don't have to hear me play..... :-\

Pro, paid, unpaid, charitable organizations, fundraisers. I've played for venues from 5 people to 5,000 people. Average now is playing for about 2,000 people a month.

The most memorable gig in my many years as a guitarist was playing acoustic guitar. It was one Christmas Eve in the ICU unit of a local hospital. Anyone who has volunteered during the holidays to perform for shut-ins knows what I mean. Everyone ought to try it. It only takes one hour of your time to make a difference and receive a life long memory.

For nearly ten years I was the Activity Director at a nursing home before I became a pro player. Every day I would lead a sing-along on the Alzheimers Unit. It never ceased to amaze me how people who hadn't talked in years and didn't even remember their own names would light right up and sing every word to their favorite song! I still entertain at several nursing homes. It's very rewarding work.
