hello all
having just purchased a sg 61, I set about finding some internet resources on it and discovered this forum. love the community here, the helpful advice, the banter, the pics, the comradery, all of it
I've been playing haphazardly (and poorly) for about 20 years but about a year ago, I really leaned into it. started taking lessons, practicing and playing every day, started pushing myself to properly learn the fundamentals and theory, and it's been so fun and fulfilling. naturally the GAS dynamic kicked in and have been building a modest but appropriate-for-me collection
I now have a beautiful sg, hss stratocaster that fits me like a glove, epiphone lp style that I've had for 10+ years, a jackson rhoads that I picked up on a whim because it was under $200, a squier bullet that someone gave me and that I plan to use as a test subject for learning guitar mechanics, and two cheap basses, one of which is a 5 string and is a lot of fun to plunk around on. also a breedlove c250 cme acoustic and a cordoba cadete classical. feel like I've sufficiently covered my bases/needs and I now no longer need to think about acquiring any more gear! [shuffles off to research fender jaguars]
