I must confess I am a closet metal head from the 80's. Back then I always wanted a 10 string Bich but could never find one in my area. I noticed they started making them again like they used to without bolt on necks and pointy head stocks or floyds like the last 15 years or so. I broke down and ordered one today - a Bich Perfect 10 and cant wait for it to arrive. I figured since I play more rhythm than lead, it would fill out the sound a little better and come in handy for clean stuff. Now I need to hunt up a special guitar stand...

If you got one, I'd appreciate some advice.

Thanks.

which strings are doubled to make it a 10-stringer? I've never actually seen or consciously heard one before, seems like an interesting idea none the less. just not such a huge fan of most BC Rich body designs...

I dont think I'd own one, but it's still cool none the less. How about one of those herculeas stands that grasp it by the neck and just suport the back of the body? FWIW that what they use at the gibson showcase for odd shaped guitars.

That's a good advice!
I needed a stand for an Explorer-style bass and it's perfect. You can put any strange guitar on it.
Here's a picture of it: http://www.herculesstands.com/guitars/GS412B.html

I tried out a BCR a few weeks ago at GC. It had all these bizzare points sticking out of it and I first thought "yuck, that has to be really uncomfortable to hold/play".

Much to my surprise, it WAS comfortable to hold and a dream to play. Loved the neck and the low action.

Awsome guiyars.

I used to be a big BC Rich fan.
I had a Bich (6 string), Warlock & a Stealth. All original 80s USA models.

Your 10 string looks AWSOME!

might be a dead topic, but I am still huge into BCR. I have an 81 Bich-6, 85 ST-III (neck-thru and active electronics) and a Mockingbird Calibre (prototype), I love those guitars which is why I am still surprised I went to an SG (but I am very happy I did)

Guitar Stand????

Hercules makes a great stand that auto grips onto the head of the guitar when you set it on.

Okay, I figure this is as good a place as any to post pics of my guitar family (seeing how 3 of 5 of them are B.C. Rich and the other two are Gibsons, which I doubt anyone here will mind seeing a couple of them).

First is my 1981 B.C. Rich Bich-6

BCRichBich-6.jpg

Now is my 1985 B.C. Rich ST-III, just want to mention that this guitar is neck-thru and has the full Mockingbird electronic circuit

Now my 2007 Mockingbird Calibre series

Now my Gibson Les Paul Studio, this guitar started out as an unfinished red mahogany guitar, but the prior owner did a fantastic job finishing it and it does have the burstbucker pros pups in them which are exceptional

Finally my Gibson SG Custom

hope you all enjoy
