Ah well Phil, I hate to say it, but in my "personal" corner..... Life is pretty good at this moment.
Been through some "interesting" times since we last spoke, but finally the Fog appears to be clearing I am glad to say.

Just popped in to say Hi to you all...... and yes.... I am still alive, despite rumours to the contrary

Although it does seem like "the man" is trying to ruin things for everyone... there are lots of folks out there that will not just sit there and let it happen. I just got back from a business trip and talked to a bunch of cool people who helped remind me we live on a very cool planet with alot of cool people... just got to look for them but the cool people are out there. I was in austin, tx this week and there just happened to be a little event called south by southwest going on. really helped lift my spirits :)

my band up and disbanded literally overnight... we rehearsed, talked about direction, what i wanted, what the guitar player wanted, and the drummer sends an email the next a.m. saying he was stepping down. two days after that, the guitar player finds a job that requires him to relocate to another city. poof :dontknow:

but! i have landed in another trio, Anoying Bill (yes spelled wrong on purpose) and we are an all original neo punk / hard rock band much more in line with what i want to do... we have four songs recorded (not to the final mix yet) with five more to do. when that gets done, it will be itunes and whatnot to promote it. the writer/singer/guitarist and i have known each other for some time and he said he always pictured me as his bass player (i guess my style fits... whadda know??) and he jumped at the chance for me to join... i was flattered. my first 'audition' literally was in the studio and we recorded a track right then and there. :rockin:

ive been asked not to post any of it yet, the copyright etc needs to be secured and he is paranoid about someone stealing it...

think ramones/pistols/iggy... i guess that's the best way i can put it.

i can see us on the stage opening earthday birthday 2010 at high noon, knocking out a 30 min blistering set in the noon sun and then hanging out backstage the rest of the day... or maybe some opening slots for touring bands coming thru town... :evil5:
(now i suppose i will wake up and it was all a dream)
