Hi there everyone. I just purchased my first guitar ever which is a 2007 SG Standard Silverburst. I am brand new to the world of guitars and have just signed up for lessons and I am ready to learn. A buddy of mine has always owned SGs and I always liked how they feel and look. So i am learning the basics, but I figure I can learn a lot by becoming involved here.

My user ID stands for CO (Colorado) 2.5i which is the car I used to drive (Impreza 2.5i). It is easy for me to remember a user ID I use on all the Subaru forums. ;D

Any tips or advice will be useful for me.

BTW, my guitar is getting professionally set up so I won't have pictures for a few days. Figured I would start off on the right foot.

NICE!!! Sexy finish! Plus it's rare, I love rare guitars.

I warn you, Gibsons aren't beginner guitars. Especially SGs.  ;)

Thank you! Well, so far I am learning the different notes on each octave. Learning to play them fast and identify them fast. I have so far to go but I am loving it! ;D
