bridge too high on batwing pickguard?

I recently converted a Tokai SG standard (2 x humbuckers, small pickguard) with 2 x P90 soapbars and a batwing pickguard.

It all came together well enough, but now I'm at the stage of setting the action, the bridge is settling right on top of the pickguard as low as it can go, and the action is still way too high. I've checked the relief and nut and they are both fine.

Anyone also came across this problem with batwing pickguards? Is there any chance that standard models usually come with a shallower neck angle as the bridge sits lower - and hence the problem once it's sitting on top of a batwing?

Many thanks

Photos ?

The guitar was obviously not designed for the bridge to sit that high. You'll have to enlarge the holes in the pickguard so the bridge sits where it is supposed to, directly on the body.

Yeah, I do believe the neck angle is usually greater on a batwing SG for that reason.

Pics added. The bridge is sitting right on the deck, and the action won't go any lower

You might be able to get a little lower with a saddle change or just flatten the tops off and re-slot them. Looks like you still have good clearance over the back of the bridge since the bridge is low.

If it was OK before the new pickguard ...

I see that the bridge itself is sitting on the pickguard. I guess you'll have to open up the pickguard under it so it can go lower.

Do exactly what Drbgood said
Actually pretty easy fix, not a huge issue
