Tazz sorry 'bout your bout of bronchitis...

When I was plagued with reoccurring bouts on bronchitis for several years in a row, it took not only a zpac (or cipro); but, also Prednisone steroid AND an albuterol inhaler... Anything less than those three things and I just couldn't kick it...

For the last couple of years doc has me on the equivalent of Claritin daily and Flonase - viola no reoccurring bouts of bronchitis.

Maybe some that info will be helpful..

Good luck and here's to a full and speedy recovery for you!

I used to get bronchitis a lot when I was a kid. I used to miss so much school due to it, that I actually had teachers bring me my school work so I could do some school work at home.

Here's hoping for a speedy recovery.

BTW, get yourself a vaporizer. It doesn't cure anything, but it really helped ease some of the coughing and tightness in the chest.

I had bronchitis at the end of a challenging spring semester at college. I moved back home for the summer and was sitting in a chair. I needed a glass of water and I was too weak to get up and get it. I started crying and that was how my brother found me. I had a temperature of 101 and I literally thought I was dying. Saw the doctor the next day and he gave me antibiotics. At first they made me vomit because so much gross stuff was coming out of my lungs and I was swallowing most of it. But after a day and a half, I began to feel much better.

It seriously sucks. Hope you feel better soon.
