Hey everyone, I'm planning to install a duesenberg les trem II on my SG special. I want to get new bushings that when mounted sit above the face of the guitar to prevent any damage to the finish as well as limit how steep the incline from the tremolo system to the bridge, as my stock bushings are mounted below face level. Does anyone have recommendations on what bushings are best to replace stock bushings for a duesenberg les trem tailpiece modification? Thanks in advance for any and all feedback. Cheers!
Don't quite get the question I'm afraid but since you don't want to damage the finish I feel I must point out that there will be a slight discoloration between the space underneath the spring and the rest of the guitar, the latter of which will become slightly lighter in color as time goes by. A Schaller 4201, if you can get your hands on one, will not touch the body at all.
