I got the 2 cd and 1 dvd package by Led Zep this year and always can use more Led! Also another beatles dvd to add to the growing collection.

Oldrockfan Jr got more stuff than me.
    Boss bluesdriver
    Boss autowah
    Eh nano boost
    one spot power supply
    new guitar strap

Running them thru his mesa subway rocket, they originally didn't actually sound too good. Problem was the order. Putting autowah before blues driver and ending with the boost made the difference. Does a nice mix of tone now and can range from a Page like tone to a frampton vibe as well as some decent sounding clapton woman tone. really enhanced the sound of his SG special and he is very happy.

Merry Christmas to all and I hope everyone got to spend time with family this holiday season. :)

    Seasons Greetings to all!

Santa was good with a new modem, router, mouse and an external floppy drive! Just what I needed!! Cash always helps and this year I will look at a Korg effects box my nephew "happen" to bring along with him. VERY interesting piece........ and I found out that the guit to it to the Vox Amplug works great! (I think I'm getting closer to eliminating the heavy amp thing at set up!)

A Happy and Safe New Years to all coming up.

Well Phil, I'm game to try at least one.......... To me it's all about what you do with the sound and once you get the sound then it's just a matter of putting it thru something that can push the sound. If it doesn't work...... oh well, at least I tried. Would take me 1 joke between songs to change back to the old set up.

Is that Tonelab by Korg? The one the nephew had was an AX3G and I have to admit, for the money (he got it for 40 and MF has it now down to 29.99.....) had some good sound...... not to mention interesting sounds.

The Pod XT? I have no clue............ Give me a PM and clue me in.

I tried the Toneworks Pandora, which I believe has the same basic stuff but includes a rhythm section, bass and drums for different styles. It's cool, smaller but costs way more. That little AX3G is a steal at 30 bucks. Many people said the same at 50. Pod's are great XT and beyond, and X3 is also good for recording to PC via USB2.0 and sounds fantastic, but cost 400 solid. I suggest that the Toneworks stuff sounds approachable to Pod XT stuff, and without advanced adjustment. For 30 bucks, it's hard to go wrong. I like!

The AX3G is my latest suggestion for most economical way to record to PC. Buy this and run it into the line in/mic of the sound card and record via (free) audacity or favorite program. Thirty bucks includes over a dozen tube amp models and scores of cab, mic, tone adjustments!!!
