I'm not really a beginner. But I am a beginner at playing electric guitar, which opens up a whole new world of interesting things to play. What are some fun songs to play that are also fairly easy to learn? I am looking for inspiration here. I have been learning a new song every couple days and spend the time between annoying the hell out of my neighbors.

    Lets hear some ideas!

Oh yeah, any genra. I like a bit of everything.

AC/DC songs must surely be easy to learn, the rhythm part at least. Try Back in Black. I also like Giving the Dig a Bone. Black Sabbath's Paranoid is also a good one, very simple but effective.

I like AC/DC. But have never tried playing any. I play some Clapton, Pink Floyd, Bush, Collective Soul, Ozzy, etc. There are a lot of songs I like only for the guitar jams. I love ZZ Top and I think that will be my next challenge. I really want to learn Just Got Paid, Thank You, and a few other old tunes of theirs. Any suggestions for getting Billy Gibbons' sound out of my SG?

Heres some JGP I often play it in standard tuning some thing like he does in the second version but I slide the E down with the index and repeat.

The rev often uses a lets say bass around 11 mid around 9-10 and almost zero
    treble on the amp .

ZZ Top is going to take me awhile to pick up. AC/DC is surprisingly easy. I think I'm ready to join a band now lol.

Well that song has alternate picking and alternate tuning . So it has that effect on a lot of folks but no fear here's a much easier ZZ top
tune and learn to use your thumb as the vid show as this is correct'and if your going to play some REV Willy G you gotta use that thumb cuz he does
    a lot.

CCR is one of the first tab books I bought years ago. They are one of my favorites. And real easy to play rythym to.
