Beautiful Dragon artwork and a great idea for a replica.

These issues are rather new to me. I probably should have known that these issues were already beaten to death in the past and that a lot of folks are tired of hearing about them.

You can try and in some music passages, I'll bet you will get that sound. I think we can get close. The amp might be a bigger part of the equation than the guitar, however. I just don't know because I'll never own a Marshall stack. I can't stand the loudness of a Fender tweed Deluxe replica turned up loud, how am I going to stand something louder. Earplugs, I guess.

I am fascinated with replicating these important guitars and amps because I see them as historical artifacts, and I earlier drew analogies to ancient artifacts like an old shield or helmet -- things there were tools at the time and not thought of as important artifacts until they had passed into history.

I also think that these guitar and amp artifacts are different than something like a Stradivarius violin priceless artifact. The reason is because the Stradivarius was made by one craftsman taking as much time as necessary. These "artifact" guitars and amps were, compared to the Stradivarius, mass produced like Henry Ford's Model T.

So, while violin players who were contemporaries of Stradivarius probably knew when it was finally built that the Strad violin was a masterpiece, those guitarists that were contemporaries of the 1959 Les Paul or the 1959 Fender Bassman didn't see them at the local music store and say, "There stands a Masterpiece that will be a highly valued item for all time!"

There you go. The Royal JPP15 and the 1960 Les Paul replica do a fine job of hitting the target.

I am very traditional. Marshall. Humbucker. The same Boss effects since the 90's....Dinosaur....however, I do believe that who plays a certain guitar is what gives it that perceived value.

This is a somewhat of a chicken or egg situation. Is the '59 LP a masterpiece simply because of its association with our favorite players and their music, or was it a masterpice hiding in plain site that shaped their music? What if Hendrix had played a white Rickenbacker and Page had stayednwith the Tele and nobody played the LP? Would it sit unsold in a flea market or be discovered as an instrument of unappreciated genious one day? And so on.
