I have a thread I started that I am hoping to edit, but I do not see the usual "edit" button. Am I missing something, or for some reason can you not edit some posts?

    Thanks in advance,
    PC81

I believe that editing is only available for a certain time after a post is made. It is really there for spotting and correcting a typo. Editing posts that are old can't be allowed as subsequent replies would lose their meaning.

Thanks. Just noticed misspelling of a last name I was hoping to rectify.

If your thread is still editable, I think there's a thread tool or somethin like that to edit the title in the upper right corner.
I'd have to make a new thread to check my theory :)
