    Nice guitars. I don't think the price is way out of line BUT at the same time he is not expecting to get that price since he has a "make an offer" button...tempting.

    It has to be said. Although the electrical hardware may be a little cheaper, quality control at Epiphone is something Gibson must dream of.

    Elite and Elitist Epiphone are fine except this strange headstock for the second version.

    First version , SG Elite were better

    MIJ Epiphone were called Elite during one year approx.

    I had a Les Paul Elite 100 % good copy :

    Wrong information !

    They were absolute identical - except the headstock
    the tombstone headstock was for export

    the open book headstock was for JDM
    http://epiphonewiki.com/index.php/Elitist_Series_(Japan)

    and we all know only the headstock makes the tonez

    The name got changed on both headstock-versions because of Ovation, who already had an Elite series
