There is a hidden feature in the Katana. It was revealed by a Youtuber exactly one year ago. I am suprised that its still so unknown. Just checked it today and it still works with the current firmware!
“The tuner’s not that accurate”. Great feature, a half assed tuner that you have to go through that many steps to access.
How does someone find that out ? Imagine the zillion permutationsyou can go through with all the buttons, before finding the right combination. Much easier/faster to stomp on my one switch floor tuner.
Well yes...it could be more convinient but I think you get used to it. Looks like the combination of button presses he showed (1-4-18) is not the only one that works. 1-4-19 also works (4-1-19 in the US models).
I thought this clown was serious at first. As soon as he said turn all your settings to 0, It was fucking useless. Could have been the best tuner in the world. But imagine having your shot dialed in for the night and then you go out of tune and set everything to 0. Yeah, the sound guy is going to friggin love you. Toss a wireless tuner on the headstock, use your foot switch tuner. And to the comment above regarding “how did you figure this out”. No kidding. Even if it was in the manual somewhere, who has time
To be honest: Even if the Katana had a useful tuner built-in I wouldn't use it. I find my little D'Addario clip-on tuner (that I always keep handy) more convenient. I am just noodling at home though...for gig situations I would probably get a foot switch tuner.
