It’s some dudes signature model but it’s got the features I want.

Single volume, the all important kill switch and a 6 position varitone.

Frank Iero from “My Chemical Romance” signature model. Maybe I can pick up on some tattooed goth chicks finally.

8.7k neck
13.9k bridge

I’m liking those readings, especially since the magnets are alnico, no idea if they are II, III, IV, XXVI etc...

My goth goddess awaits...

Happy NGD!

I thought I would really like those, but I played one unplugged awhile back and it just didn't feel right to me, something was off ergonomically.

Good luck with your goth chicks though. Remember, if you want to be a non-conformist you have to do what they say.

Hmmm interesting looking axe. I always think the ones with stuff on fret 1 seem a bit odd but ...

Goth was in already back when I went to high school so well Angel have fun be careful. Robert Smith may be worth listening to he has a fair amount of experience.

Watch out, many of those woman are hell in a hand basket. I hope thats not seen as sexist, I just happen to have known a great abundance of these types of people- my mother for instance.

The ergonomics are somewhere between a short scale strat and a tele.

I love that this model is an exclusive Epiphone design and not just a warmed over Gibson.

The mojo is already working... I may have found the “one”...

too bad Chemical Romance broke up.

But Iero designed a fine instrument with the Epiphone engineers.
Congratulations!

I really don’t know much about the band, but the instrument is well put together and thought out.

I need to do some more amp tweaking to be happy with the pickups, but the basics are there. I have been spoiled by 57’s and p90’s for far too long...

On paper the neck pickup should be 57ish and the bridge 500t/SuperDistortionish... the neck cleans up well but doesn’t break up well, and the bridge doesn’t clean up well. But it doesn’t have to.

The kill switch spring is way to strong, so when I change the strings I’ll see if I can pop it open and cut a couple coils out of the spring.

I may not be fully happy with it just because I don’t have my favorite strings in stock right now....

She does play well with others...

Nice deal

Varitones are usually adding to guitars very rich sound options. What do you think about varitone on this Willshire?

I like the first and the last setting on it, I’m not very subtle so the in between settings get lost on me.
