....and play guitars. We unfortunately need to distinguish ourselves by using something BOSS like. I like the artwork, but the bikes were here first.
Mugged? No. Confused as Japanese motorcycle aficionados and challenged to race for pinks by an unsavory band of Ninjas perhaps.
If you like having a box pictured on your chest, it's your club ... Personally, I'd make the amp shape less obvious and way smaller in the background. And what about the 100W owners ?
It's funny you should say that. I demo'd this amp against those exact two before purchasing mine. Night and day difference. Also interesting that another member on here that has one of these is not playing it much, but mentioned that it would make a great 'office' amp. This was the exact purpose I picked mine up for as well. Not really ever something I would consider gigging with, or trying to compete against the band with at jam practice (that's what my big ass tube setups are for), but I could definitely see myself busking with it. I still think this is one of the best solid state amps available (aside from that Kemper, but lets be real here. Who is going to pay that for something they are looking for as a practice amp?). Definitely my favourite ss to date, and still getting the daily lunch break workout
Forgot to mention Orange makes a good solid state too if you like the Orange sound, CR60 and CR120, the 35RT too for that matter.
Hadn't thought of it as a tee shirt... Just a badge for our sig's! was waiting to see how this was received before I did 100 & head options.... Saved some time there then
Hahaha - the other practice amp I have in the den is an Orange Micro Terror. Love the 'Orange' sound. Not quite ss mind you, but fairly close
Sure is! I happened to still have my micro crush on my desk. Makes for an interesting size comparison...
All my amps are tube except my PV Backstage I've had since 1979 I don't really use any more, I've been on the prowl looking for a good small solid state to add to my amp collection.
Honestly, I like my first version. It had the Boss tag, and the Katana logo kanji on a simple grill cloth backing. No cheesy 1980's Van Damme / Cynthia Rothrock movie title font, no motorcycle confusion.....
True enough... The font for the word Katana was borrowed from Boss's advertising, but I did add a splash of colour I'm easy, let's go with yours Now how do we get it in to our sig's...
I'm actually going to pass. The last time we had someone starting clubs around here they went "big time" on us with an overinflated ego and waves of flatulence.
