Wait, total brain fart on my end....

I meant to say the 125BSE

Cat. No.    Audio Watts   Max. D.C. Bias(ma)  Wt. Lbs.
    125ASE - 3                  25                         0.5
    125BSE - 5                  45                         1.1
    125CSE - 8                  60                         1.3
    125DSE - 10                70                         2
    125ESE - 15                80                         3

THe BSE is a fine OT for a single ended 6V6 or 6L6.  You can put in an impedance switch, and get some extra functionality.
You might even want to put in the 125ASE, since Hammond generously overrates their specs.  The smaller transformer will sound more "tweedy".  Think: "Layla".

Awsome! I might get the BSE. Can you provide a link that supplies Hammonds? I cant find one...

if the breakup is occuring in the OT, or effected by it that is... commonly, on a single ended guitar amp, the OT is fairly puny, and there's some saturation going on

the BSE will not saturate with a 6L6 or 6V6

kinda down the road youre going, 2x12 with vintage 30's 8) gonna build it up when i get some dough! celestions are expensive i tells ya!

    $249 AUD for a vintage 30....ugh (thats $187.414 compared to your $109...damnit!)....

should i go with 2x8ohms for 4/16, or 2x16ohms for 8/32...(bear in mind, one day i might pull this apart to put the speakers in a quad....

it doesnt really matter does it??

Nice. Thats exactly what I'd do.

If I were you I'd go with two 16ohms in parallel for 8ohms, as that seems like the most common.Butin order to hook it up to the VJ you are gonna have to switch the (brown)4 ohm wire from the OT and put the (red) wire in place of it. If you do not want to do this, I would get two 8 ohms for a 4 ohm cab.

Well, I got it as a gift from my parents on christmas. when I looked at the warranty info card it had already expired. I think the reasoning behind that was my mom/dad had bought it a few months before x-mas.

To me, the hi/low input jack thing didnt make much of a difference. Although, replacing R2(68K) with 10K increased the touch response.(to me)
