So, I guess most of you are familiar with the Peter Green out of phase tone and the required magnet flip in the pickup. Now, as one can see in pics of the Greeny Les Paul, the pickup itself was also flipped around. Does that do anything for the sound at all? I have always been under the impression that the orientation of the pickup didn't really matter. I get a very nice PG sound with the Bare Knuckle PG Blues, with the neck pickup facing the "right" way, i.e. the adjustable screws facing the fretboard. Would there be any noticable difference if it was facing the "wrong" way? And if so, what could I expect the difference to be like?
