    Hi,

The ASAT Special seems like the *perfect* next guitar for me. Little bit of a tele twang, but also some P-90-esque growl. I'm kinda in love with this thing.

Does anyone have any opinions about the G&L Tribute series, either the ASAT Special or other ASAT's? Is the build quality good?

I had a G&L ASAT Deluxe II Korina.
    Excellent build quality and feel.

G&L are really nice guitars. If you ever decide going on the USA models, known as Made in Fullerton guitars, the workmanship is excellent.

What makes G&L stand out from other guitar companies is the range of finishes and options that are available for you to order.

Fender's online ordering system does not come anywhere close to the selection that G&L gives you especially in necks.

The import ASAT is a very nice guitar for the price, but a US is just a bit nicer.

reminds me... I have a more than 20 year old ASAT project I should finish up sometime...

Picked this up today. So far, it sounds great. Frets 1-5 need a little polishing I think (they're a little rough/scratchy when bending) but other than that, this is a pretty fantastic instrument. I am very pleased with G&L's $500 guitars.
