Gibson jackin up the price?

    if gibson does raise prices more people wil start buying epis and less gibsons so maybe they get an idea.

    I dunno.
    If the high end Gibsons stop selling, they will float the prices a while waiting for the market to come back. Eventually they would get realistic. All you guys stay away so I can afford a Jimmy Page and a couple others!!!

    If I don't buy a Gibson, Epi won't get my money either. I'll go upmarket instead... O0

    Their marketing plan is simple...the higher they raise the prices the more people want them. It actually works up to a point.

    Ill never buy a new Gibson out of principle and protest. Dont like the look of the fretboards anyway on some of the new SGs, too light coloured and I dont dig jigsaw bodies. >:(

    not that i could afford a new one ANYWAY ;D

    List price for a Faded SG, according to MF: $1,058 USD. List price on a 60's neck LP: $3,448 USD. List on a 61 RI: $2,338 USD.

    i reserved a sg special at the end of last month for £599, they have now gone up to £899 in the same shop, god im glad i reserved that one

    i have a feeling that theyll up the price of the 61. they bumped the standard up to 2200 and the 61 is currently at 2330.
