Golden Age (Stewmac) pickups

    anyone ever tried these?
    from what little user reviews there are on harmony central, some have described it as being similar to the '57 classic.
    and with a price of just under $40, it looks worthy of a try.

    yea, theres an old thread, but no one really tried them yet :p
    even a google search turns up a few positive comments, with one saying it could be a gotoh pickup, another says schaller had a golden age model as well.

    hmm i checked with stewmac themselves.
    they said the overwound humbucker is very similar to the gibson 498.

    unfortunately, they don't make or sell P90 clones.

    These guys do. Including Hum-sized P-90s. I hear they are good.

    Gibson sells a Hum sized P-90 also.................P-94
