Sold my MIK neck bound model awhile back on fleabay, now of course, wish I kept it. I tried the new SG400 modes with PRO buckers and push pull pots....but I just didn't connect with it. Something I just miss about the faded vintage feel and look. I see them online going between $249-299. Still a fantastic price. Probably grab me one this weekend.

Epi Faded SGs are awesome, and is my favorite SG model (Epi or Gibson). That's why I own two of them - one in worn cherry, one in worn brown. I love that raw wood look. Plus, the stock pickups sound great in them.

I own a lot of guitars, but the Epi faded is the one I always keep on a stand in my living room. I just love looking at it all the time.

I am absolutely in love with my older G-400 right now after a massive setup and between the 61 Special with P-90s or an older faded, I am having serious GAS these days.

2003 Epiphone SG G 400 Electric Guitar 711106315560 | eBay

Just for the record, this is an example of a MIK model right? Are they really that much lighter colored than a regular G-400? My G-400 is a really really deep red, which is not 100% my favorite thing.

As an aside, I watched a Gibson SG Faded go for $430 US plus $30 shipping on EBay the other night. No noticeable issues. Shipping to Canada was astronomical though.

Oops my bad. That one's Indonesia? Is Korea better than Indonesia?
Nope, Korea, 2003.It's a good one. Don't assume the sellers know what they are talking about. There is a readable ser.# .The seller interprets the first character to mean Indonesia, he's wrong.(Incheon, perhaps) Been awhile since I was down home, but isn't Dallas about a 250 mi. round trip from Macon ? Might be worth the drive.

BTW, I've never owned any Indonesian Epis, but my Indonesian Strat was a damned fine player.

If it wasn't for that pesky shipping and import charge to Canada you might have just sold me on that Biddlin.

Thanks for the info!

LOL. I wish. Maybe if he took Canadian Tire money. Actually we have dropped below par again, so that adds another 8% or so.

Shipping is $70, and that global shipping fee is another $50 (estimated). Too much pain for me.

At least I know what to be on the lookout for!

Pulled the trigger this morning 7am..on a new faded model. Should be here in two days. Just in time, since I took wed, thurs off from work. Here is funny story..About 3 weeks ago....I had G.A.S. and purchased a refurb epi dot in natural w/ case for $339. Like new, just slight cosmetic defect on back. I was debating that or an SG. Well..I just didn't bond with it. Nice sounding, but just like a big piece of furniture on my lap...couldn't get into that Sabbath mode with a DOT. I listed it on ebay...and an ebayer with ZERO feedback won..and u can guess..sends me email..Sorry, cant buy it. No surprise. Listed it again. No takers. Must be that "Used" stamped on headstock.
I put on local Craigs list. A guy and his "guitar playing buddy" come meet me at my job Saturday to check it out. They come and test it out ..over 30 min!..and im thinking damn..lets do this!!..cause co-workers, supv, are probably wondering where the hell Im at!!?? Finally, he goes, Well,,,we will get back to you. Im like great. What a waste of time.
I check my relisted ebay...this morning...and now have 3 bids...so here comes the Faded Vintage SG...Feel im coming back home :)
