Hi, just wanted to introduce myself to the forum. I'm Clinton from Houston, and I've been playing in a local heavy-psych band called the Linus Pauling Quartethttp://www.worshipguitars.org/LP4 for about 13 years or so, and am also working on some solo stuff too - thesparrowsofhappiness.vonheider.com.

Anyway, I got rear-ended on I-10 about 10 years ago and the dude didn't have insurance, but just gave me a bunch of cash. Did I fix my car? Pshaw! No, I tied the trunk down with rope and bought an SG instead, and have been playing it regularly in my band ever since. My other main guitar is a Rickenbacker 360 that I bought from Strait Music in Austin, in 1989. I don't gig with it as much because I am overprotective of it...so the good ol' SG gets the brunt of the wear. It's been a great guitar but may be a little "overloved" at this point, so I am going to try to get it cleaned up a little and put some pics up.

Thanks to everyone who puts in the effort to maintain this forum - I learned more about my guitar in a couple of hours here than I have in the last 10 years.

    -Clinton

Great To See You Here Clinton.

Sounds as though you have been pretty busy what with one thing and another?

You'll hopefully find just about everything that you could ever wish to see about a SG....Right Here!

Yes, the guitars win out over the car but it's getting to the stage where I can't continue allowing them to take precedence over the house! Welcome Clinton. :)

    Welcome Clinton!
I lived there for 15 years.
If you're ever down in Alvin and run into my ex-wife, back up and run into her again.

Well, Alvin isn't all that big, so odds aren't all that bad -
