IMO truly one of the unique guitarist of his time. So many great songs. My favorite is a piece he did in the middle of 'Cast a Pebble' from their debut album in 1970. Simple, but beautiful. I can still remember the first time I heard it almost 46 years ago.

Emerson and Palmer owe a huuuuge debt to the guy. Can you imagine having to manage those egos as the producer, in addition to handling vox, guitar and bass?

I was thinking the same thing, but I loved all three, and loved their music. I've never been able to classify their music to friends, or even come up with a similar act, yet, their music sounds like a genre, as if there should have been dozens of emulators. And I rarely hear them "quoted" musically, except an occasional Emerson keys lick. One of my favorite voices, bassist, and bands.
