Hello! Im new and have an Epiphone SG enquiry.

Hi guys, I was told about this site by a friend so I thought I'd check it out.

As the title suggests, my mate has a strange Epiphone SG which I was wondering if you could shed any light on it.

I have some pictures:

It has a Gibson style headstock which is weird!

It has strange pickup covers and fat fat frets!

It also appears to be made from plywood?

Any info would be much appreciated, and hello once again!!!

The early (Japan?) Epiphones had the Gibson style head stock. The body is probably not plywood, those are marks from the cutting tool. Sand some of the finish off in the cavity to be sure. 8)

Looks like like an SG special....dotted markers, and it may have modded pickups. I have a white
one similar to that.
