    hello

could you please help me identifing this guitar ?
I ve no idea if the headstock is original or not...
for me it could be similar to some columbus or aria sg copies but i'm far from being an SG specialist !

    thanks

Neck shape/inlays look a lot like Univox. Can't remember which factory family (terada,Fuji gen, etc...) but it looks like a Hondo/Univox/penco related brand. Univox made some great guitars. Hondo had a few bright moments too.

There's a very deep and twisting rabbit hole to go down RE vintage (70's -early 1980's) Japanese guitars online.... Hope you find your way out.

Matsumoku. It looks a lot like the other SG-types I've seen from them. It seems they produced a lot of guitars without any name at all, I guess you could just consider them like a house brand of Matsumoku.

Here's some Aria SGs made by Mastumoku:

    And here's one branded Greco:

Or an early Fresher; so many possibilities it could be as the mid 70s has Matsumoku making guitars for a ton of different companies.

    Hi everyone

    Another SG old copy

More or less a twin :
The headstock is a no name as well but with a nice binding
The bridge and the stopbar are slightly different

The neck plate shows an amazing 4digits serial number with one letter and 3 numbers

Strange. I'm gonna say the neck plate was replaced, although I'm no expert on Japanese guitars. In any case, it's likely the same guitar.

Please don't refer to it as an SG because it is not. Real Sg's are manufactured by the Gibson company in the USA. One thing I respect about Epiphone is they do not in any way shape or form represent their G-400 SG copies as an SG.

Even though the TRC says "SG" on it? It's just like "Coke" or "Kleenex." Calling it a "Coke" when you mean any cola/soda isn't a diss on Coke.
