Since my forum existence was wiped out, along with a month's worth of posts (sorry Tom), I'm back to say hi (again). For those of you who missed my initial post, the name's Aaron. I don't currently own an SG, but have been itching for a Classic or Jr. and a small tube amp (small apartment). I'm after that Leslie West sound on "Mississippi Queen". Below is my current set-up.

From the left: MIM Tele with a humbucker in the neck (ala Keef), MIM Squier Strat (think standard neck and body with cheaper paint and electronics), Seagull S6+CW playing through an '80's red-knob SS Fender Deluxe 85 (not pictured out of shame) and some assorted effects.

I've been playing for about 7 years, but you probably wouldn't be able to tell by listening to me :D

Leslie West is one of the most under-rated guitarists ever.

The guy is a Mad Man! Truly, one of the best!

He's forgotten more about tone than most will ever know!

Remember, he squeezed all that classic tone out of a
Les Paul Jr back in the old days:

"Don't look around 'cause I'm never comin' back - high time you saw the last of me..."

    Welcome (back) to the fray!

I've found that now my Javamagic Coronet is fitted with a Fralin dogear P90 it does a fair job of reproducing the Leslie West tone. :)

Hey Guitarweasel, I remember reading in a post that you had two daughters, but would you ever consider adopting a son?

Just kidding. You're collection is dumbfounding, though.

I'll wash your car AND bring my modest collection over. Wait. You live in Chicago?

    Um...
Ever consider buying a winter home west of Phoenix?
