What part of Scotland are you in?

I was born a "Bankie", and lived in Edinburgh.

Welcome and nice gear! You've started off well with us by posting pictures! We love pictures around here:thumb:

I see you sanded the neck on the SG. I did this to my faded SG and absolutely love it. Soo smooth. Cant bring myself to do it to my Standard though, even though I know I would like it.

Hi CHall1525 thanks for the welcome and glad you liked the pics , as for the neck on the sg , it had numerous wee dings and was very sticky ( dunno what the last owner was about) but a wee rub with 800 grit wet and dry removed what finish there was in seconds , so i tried to get most of the dings out (without altering the shape of the neck) and now the neck is super smooth and very playable :) . (i've been doing this to epi's and fenders for years with great results :) , cheers

Welcome Alan! Alan! Alan! :D Sorry, you must get that all the time, if you're around people who watched "Walk on the Wild Side"

So, uh, more related to guitars, that's some fine gear you have there! A Special faded with 57s and a JCM800, you surely can't go wrong with that. I'm a wee bit jealous! Also like the Westone.

Hi lead finger , thanks mate glad to be here

Hi Heket , thanks for the ALAN welcome :laugh2: i used to watch that myself :) i used to visit relations in southend and canvey island many moons ago , and yes the old jcm does that to people , i got it for a song 20 odd years ago and as for the old westone i only picked that up last year , ( i had one back in the 80's ) first thing i ad to do was refret it , some bugger had filed the frets flat :wow: cheers

Great gear you have there alan sg.
Love those SG Specials...I'm refining mine at the moment in Les Paul Gold. The 57c and 57c+ are the best pickup for the SG...well at least for one of your SG's. :)
That pic of your SG400 in front of the Marshall is Classic.
Great to have you here to share in all the fun. I've learned so much from my time here and learning more everyday.
Lots of laughs too. There's a world of stuff in all the sub forums within Everything SG. So welcome aboard and enjoy the ride.:dude:
