Spoon Trem

1's arm looks like a spoon with no spoon bit.

Funny thing about that. I checked out a "'67" SG Jr at the local GC yesterday.It looked pretty good until they took it down from lofty heights.They had a trem on it that looked like a mixture of the two that BW has.It looked like an AllParts base and had a Trem arm actually machined from the handle of a spoon! It had a machined spacer to bring the spoon arm off the body and scrawled on it was "Gibson SG".Looked like it was done with a Richter scale. The P-90 looked new and the pots had more solder on 'em than a handwired AC-30! It had a wrap around bridge with the trem and the tuners were changed. The body looked like it had been dragged through a thorn bush and price:only $1649.00.I think I will pass. I really like the earlier ones like BW's anyway.
I cringe when I think that digital pics make guits look a lot nicer than they are and I might buy one sight unseen and wind up with a train wreck like that.
