So i was wondering...
I have a SS amp, it sounds ok, i'm going to get a Tonelab LE sometime soon.
I can still trade in my amp and get about 400$ cdn. for it
Should i get a tube amp?
I'd get a valve junior right away as it is simple and perfect for the LE or pedals
but i don't know if it's loud enough for my needs. Are there other good but not too expensive tube amps that would go well with the LE?
Is it loud?

Thanks in advance ;D :)

how loud do you want it? If you are going to being playing it inside your house, than 5 tube watts is mucho plenty - especially through an efficient speaker (that is the key)

I've seen people play them on stage through a mic'd cab.

And with a few mods, you can voice it to your preference . . . Fenderish, Marshallesque or Voxie
. . . there's also a guy on the 18 watt forum with a pretty good Trainwreck thing going

It's a great little amp that with a few tweaks is very satisfying and fun to play . . . and cheap!

Yes. Life's too short to waste on transistor amps.  ;)

I've used my 57 Champ with a 4X12 before......You'd be surprised how loud 5 watts can be.

are there any mods to increase volume?
The biggest gig i'll play at for now is the rotunda in our school.
It's like this big round thing with a stage. Probably enough space for 200-300 people. Look on google earth on my profile in the sattelite mode. The circle the pointer is on is the rotunda.(Zoom in a lot)

I wouldnt know about the mic. But i love the look of that epi cab. and from what ive heard its good. Matched the VJ head as well and is flexible in terms of impendances.
