You had a 63 Junior neck and built the body with mismatched batwing, humbuckers, Nashville with trapeze tailpiece?
Impressive... but I'd want to smooth out the carves.
I got a neck from a project somebody else had done. I decided to order a body an go with the SG. It has a maple fretboard. I wanted a worn unique look .
After looking at a few SGs I see what you mean. I still have some tweaks to make .
My plan is to redo the fretboard.
That fretboard is rosewood if original.
They didn't use baked maple until recent years.
The body was pre-fab, was it already routed for the humbuckers and control cavity?
I used ebony stain on it yes body was all ready to go . I made a few mods to set the neck
No the fretboard is not original it was added by the prevents ouner
This is the prior condition
Makes sense now.
Well, the camera needs work that's for sure. I mean, the guitar looks nice and all from what one can see but the devil is in the details, which the camera in question seems to have a hard time capturing so impossible to have an opinion on the actual work. As I understand it, you took an old neck, the maple one, put a new fretboard on an attached it to a body?
