Identifying Guitar

I bought an old guitar that looked like a gibson SG - I understand it isn't a Gibson from the serial number on the back of the head stock - has anyone any ideas what make this guitar is?

Not an SG, but from look and construction I'd say it was a decent quality Japanese guitar from the 1980s.

Has a tortured Alembic look .
