You totally lost me.
Who are you referring to when you say ours?
I meant the rest of the world's Elitists (with the middle-of-the-road HSs).
I like! I've been doing some investigations into the Epi Lacquer Series guitars since I got my Les Paul Junior (LPJ-70). The sg was called SG-70, it came in white, cherry and black. The finish is lacquer (not nitrocellulose though) and it's very thin, the electronics/hardware is japanese. The differnce between the Lacquer Series and the Elitist line is the lacquer (of course since the Elitists are poly) and the electronics/hardware which is Gibson on the Elitists. These are very good guitars and not at all like the MIK/MIC Epis.
What I was saying is that the Epis with Gibson headstocks are made for the Japanese market.
Japan gets the same MIC/MIK Epiphones we do, but their version of the Elitist line has Gibson headstocks.
Looking @ the MIJ Epip makes me guess...
I just love that open book style headstock with the jade green tuner pegs. Darn!
