Even if it doesn't play like you'd hoped, in most cases you are just a setup away from it feeling like a pair of old jeans. Don't let that deter you. Gibson usually does great fretwork, so it would be very unlikely that there are any serious flaws, only the lack of a setup from the factory and possibly the first owner as well. Good luck!
