Yes sir, and thank you! Thanks man! Damn, that’s a collection of fine guitars!
Well, let's see. I do like Cherry SG's. One is a 2010 Standard with a beefy neck, one is a 2006 Classic with p90's and a stoptail, one is a 1965 Special with pickups that sound nothing like the ones in the classic, and the last is a 1988 '62 Re-issue with a slim taper neck and it sounds nothing like the 2010 Standard. They all are great guitars that all sound different. So, you're right. I'm nuts, and they are the same color. Nice Epi's BTW. Cheers!![]()
OK, I get it that you like SGs. I also get that you like cherry finish SGs. But I can not understand four of what is essentially the same guitar.
I have two Epiphone Casinos - I bought two because John Lennon's Casino had two different finishes (he sanded down his busrt to make it natural). I know that it was nuts of me to buy two of the same guitars, but it was justified by being a John Lennon fan.

Two of the same Casinos with different finishes is not nuts. It may be odd, but not nuts. Four SGs, same finish is nuts. Yeah, I see different pickguards, pickups, fretboard inlays...but the bottom line is you essentially have four of the same guitar (expensive guitars, I might add). That's nuts.
Bingo, Nigel!Ha! I was thinking the same thing, but then I wondered "Exactly which one would I keep?" and it suddenly didn't look so crazy any longer. I never sell a good guitar, so it would only be a problem for my heirs.
Two of your pick up selector switches are on Rhythm and and two are on Treble. One on each for P90 / Humbucker. Looks like you got everything all dialed in.
My OCD makes me put them all back to center when I hang them up for the night lol
Thanks Westernrider.. It sux being called "nuts" for trying to wish the group Happy Holidays..Four SGs and all of them are cherry finished. First off, this is a massive win for the owner and the world.
Yet, we must ask if it is improper to own four guitars of the model. This writer must state specifically no, especially if they were made on the Gibson assembly line. We must realize that a craftsman made finishing touches on these instruments, so there is some unit by unit variation between them.
I've got four SG's and three are cherry Standards, and they all have different pickups and personalities.
They're on the way, PTL. I hope I sent them to the correct address! What lovely gifts! You really shouldn't have. So when can I expect delivery?

All good points, Pancake81. I don't think there is such a thing as a safe haven on the internet!Man... You know you got issues when people on EveryThingSG call you nuts!
But I mean, come on. He say's 4 guitars of the same model. What does that even mean? I mean, If I have:
- You know some people your nuts to spend $2000 on any guitar
- Some people call you nuts for spending $2000 on an electric guitar
- Some People call you nuts for buying an SG
- But apparently, even SG lovers call you nuts for buying 4 SG's!
- 4 different SG's but in different colors, am I crazy?
- 4 different Standards but from differnent years am I crazy?
- 4 different standards from different decades, am i crazy?
- If i have a 61 Les Paul Standard, a 62 Les Paul standard, a 69 SG and a 2021 SG standard. Am I nuts!!!!!
You tell me!
Hey, Just when I thought this was my last safe Haven......
