Sorry to say it, but that guitar should have been returned under warranty. The bridge is set wrongly, forcing all the saddles to the back edge - meaning it has not intonated. The neck is set at the wrong angle meaning the bridge is almost falling off the top of the studs. Lastly the scratch plate is hanging off the body in several places. It has been mounted in totally the wrong position. This is a Friday afternoon guitar that should never have made it out the door. Are you in a position to return it?

Thanks for the feedback, it seems that this may be a common issue with pickguards on CS. I also have a Wildwood Spec ‘61 and it exhibits the same fitment issues.

Honestly, I hate to mess with relief and bridge height as I’ve already adjusted those and it has great action and is almost always in tune and with spot on intonation. The tuning seems to only be affected with temperature changes. The bridge is a long way from topping out and I still have a good amount of adjustability on the saddles.

All of these things are typical of Historic SGs. And you're wrong about the neck being set at the wrong angle. The bridge is not "falling off the studs" at all.
