    Re: Abomination!!!!

    im very confused. ???

im not so opposed to the trem mod. but why would they put those tuners on there. they had to fill all of the old tuner holes before hand. meaning they had to strip, fill, sand, and then the whole paint process. seems like a little bit too much work for something as small as tuners.

    Re: Abomination!!!!

seems like whoever did it wanted a straight string pull, so the trem could be easier used without the strings snagging at the nut.
stupid idiot tho, shouldnt have installed a steinberger trem, those sux.
should've instead stuck in a original floyd rose :p

Did Epi actually mass-produce this monstrosity? It looks like a cross between a Industrial-fanboy's SG and a middle ages bident mancatcher!

    Cheers!

That was a limited edition from Epi.
As for this one on ebay...I promised it would make it here! It has a matching Marshall AVT100 amp too!

if i had the money i would buy that if the guitar wasnt tottally effed up. I mean, who is crazy enough to modify an SG's fretboard inlays unless it were a trapezoid or block change? The headstock is effed up too. Who puts a comet on a headstock? :(

I'm sure it was all painted on. It's a Special so there would be no inlay on the headstock and fetboard inlays would be dots. :)

Without making a statement on the music (which I like) the Spiderbait SG has got to be one of the more bizarre exercises in modification. Check out the attached Session Delay on the '68 Gibson.

The "Orbital SG" is beautiful.......... but I don't think I would have used an SG....... IMO.
