    Hello,

I have a Gibson SG Standard that has a min-etune system on it, anyway, I want it off, I do not like it. I was looking for prices on these so I could list it for a fair price, but I cannot find them, I only find guitars for sale that are equipped with one. So can anyone tell me what these sell for as a unit? Thanks

If anyone is interested in the system pm me.

offer it for sale here to our members, someone will snap it up.
these are so desirable IMHO that I believe that's why you don't see
them for sale. they just disappear... in spite of all the grousing posts
we read, I'm sure there are lots of guitarists who'd love to have one of these.

take bids... Start at $100 ...don't fergit to talk fast:

They go all day long on Ebay for 190-200+ in the USA.

Man, I really tried to like it. I'm so close to putting manual tuners on my '14 Standard. I've reset it a couple times, but it just doesn't tune as accurate as I can with a tuner.

I have 1 set that I had to calibrate twice to get perfect results, the other was dead on out of the box. They don't like buzzing frets and they don't like to be wrapped around the post wrong. They usually sell at around $200 us, The Stratosphere sells em' "buy now" at a bit higher, but they do a good job of removing 'em and packing 'em.
    Good luck!

yeah, I don't own one, and I've watched Gibson's attempts to change the world
with interest. I like to keep an open mind, and I'm old enough to remember when
we didn't have the great equipment we have now.

I'm happy with the guitars I have now, and I get good results with stomp box tuners and the clip-on Snarks, so I'm not burning for one. I am happy with the guitars I own right
now, so I'm not burning to buy anything.

but I still think its a great idea. and I'm watching with interest to see if the guitar buying public accepts it and buys Gibson guitars, instead of Taylor or PRS or Fender or what. All those companies are likely watching their market share closely, and at the first sign of acceptance they'll slap them on their guitars too, so as not to be left behind.

If however... Gibson guitars go unsold and the company struggles to keep their skilled employees busy and Wall St. Gamblers start selling Gibson stock short, and if the price of robot tuners goes down because so many players are taking them off their Gibsons
then we'll know that the world is not yet ready for the robot guitar.

    :(
Once again, lest anyone be mis-informed:
Henry Juszkiewicz and David Berryman own Gibson. Two guys, that's it. No Wall Street, no convoluted management or boards of directors.
Gibson doesn't make Min-Etune/G-force tuners, they buy them from Tronical GmbH in Germany and are not their only customer, maybe not even their biggest. They sell a number of Suhr and Fender, Taylor, Yamaha and many other brand compatible units.

you draw your line in the sand... i prefer guitars & amps to be less complicated & simpler & get the "snot" from pedals & tuners etc... that can be changed, exchanged, rearranged & "discarded" or utilized as i see fit... more of a modular approach... computers, fx & tuners are very transient for me & guitars & amps are "classics"...

Push, strum and play, pretty simple

this is as simple as it gets:
    [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eBwF74V4wrs"]Gibson Min-ETune[/ame]
About :22 sec from "on" to tuned. Two strums.

Bought a set and slapped them on a LP. Drove me nuts... A solution for a problem I don't have. I can tune and re-tine much faster with a pedal, and it mutes the sound.

Bought a 2014 SG Standard. Had those suckers off and onto eBay very quickly.
