Years ago (1982 or so), a friend was looking for a cheap guitar and he says I found him this for $40 from a friend of mine.
Of course, I remember none of this and am shocked I'd let one pass thru my fingers........

This is the way he got the guitar and has done nothing to it - who ever had it before him screwed up the finish - poor thing!

Back in 1984, he let me borrow it for about 3 months and I fell in love with it. Recorded a few tunes with it too.
Since then, I've been on the lookout for one of my own.......

The pups were designed FOR the Mustang, not sounding like any other Fender pup.
    There's a MID growl that's incredible!

Last fall, he told me to pick it up the next time I was up his way = FREE as he said he wasn't using it and knew I'd give it a good home.

Hey veeeeek, I might have some spare parts, let me know if you're intrested and I'll take a look.

BTW........I'd go with Daphine Blue, like the original.

    OMG! That must hurt!

Well the only folks I'd trust to refinish this would be CB, Lou, or Brewski.

Brewski is in the UK, I can't afford Lou, and CB will do it in trade.

CB has tried to convince me to try my hand at refinishing it but that would be just plain nutz.

Go Surf Green, Vic, though I respect daphne blue as a more "correct" choice.

    Green guitars are bad ass.
