Ran the ES-135 thru the BASSMAN last night
for some SWEET jazz and BLUES tones! - WOW!

Neck is VERY FAT, weight is HEAVY for a hollowbody!

Simply incredible axe!

Beeyootiful!
I have a few Gibson boxes on my wish list. How different is the internals between 135, 137 and my 335 Dot reissue?
Seems I saw a diagram somewhere showing the center block and bracing and the 137 had more air inside it.

Oh, my 335 has 57's in it too. They simply can't be beat!

The 175 still gives me shivers when I play it...

Santa, are you listening?

The center block material on the 335's, 135's, and 137's is made the same, from different materials, at different times.

The center of the 135/137 has been "chromite" (balsa) but was recently changed to mahogany in very recent years.

The ES-335/333/345/355 have a maple block

None have bracing, they're not acoustics.

The 135/137 are the same guitar, except for finish/furniture/binding/trim. The 137 has always been the more upscale, while the 135 has been the basic model.... HOWEVER... both have had - binding, different inlays, neck binding, headstock inlay, stop bar, trapeze, and various gloss and matte finishes. But 137 was always "better" than the 135 it was contemporaneous with.
