well guys.. Im enjoying every single minute with my "new" SGJ, I never taught it could be so comfortable to play, the neck feel is perfect... but of course the guitar was properly set up by my luthier who is great, and now it gets Elixir .10 strings too... but the guitar itself... its a pleasure to play...

The bridge pickup is great (498T), the neck is nice too but I was expecting for more (its the original for this model but replaced with the genuine 490R with plate cover version).

Final thoughts... its a very well made guitar, it looks and feels great...
Nice tuning machines, frets, neck, pots, even the pickup switch is great, the finish and feel its very smooth....

I think the Epiphones are great too, but Gibsons have their value no matter what...

Still thinking if I should install a pickguard and refinish whit a nitro vibe...

    HHHMMMM.....
You have found a better mass produced guitar, that you like to actually play ? Which would that be?
I have not, altho Jay-Dee is selling to the masses now and it looks like I will have to buy one to find out.
