hi all. after all the help this site has been i wanted to contribute as well. my new g400 tobacco burst (2nd hand) before and after pictures. i wanted to go vintagey white, so replaced the pickup rings, pickguard, and old top hat knobs for some chicken heads. also, swapped out the innerds (pots/caps/switch/jack) to open it up a bit. only thing left is MAYBE switching out tuners for green keys... love that look. below the pics is a link to an audio recording i did before and after the pot/cap/wire/switch/jack replacement.

    When i got it:

:00-07 old (pots, caps, input, toggle) treble switch position
    7-16 new treble
:16-23 old middle position (both pickups)
    :23-31 new middle position
    :32-41 old rhythm position
:41- 48 new rhythm position (notice the clear difference at :41)
:49-57 Back and forth--- Old Treb, New Treb, Old Treb, New Treb
:58-1:05 Back and forth --- old middle, new middle, old middle, new middle
106-End Back and forth --- old rhyth, new rhyth, old rhyth, new rhyth

i didnt touch the two stock humbuckers, just replaced some wiring, all four pots, 2 capacitors, input jack, and pickup toggle switch (rhythm, middle, treble). cost me 30 bucks for a kit.
it made an unbelievable difference, totally opened up the sound.

    thanks!

That looks great. I'm not a fan of those styled knobs but the white pickguard looks superb. Now I want one .

    Agreed! Looks great!
Personally,I'd put on gold or white reflectors instead of chickens, but it is quite unique.
All it needs now is a white nut & toogle cap. :thumb:

it was gorgeous when you got it, and then you made it your own, and it still looks cool!

Like the others, I'm not a big fan of the chicken head knobs, but hey, its yours.

    Enjoy!
